Muffin top is my body type.  LOL!  To get jeans that fit in the bum and thighs they WILL be too tight in the waist and I'll muffin.  I am not sure I can lose enough weight for that to change.  Maybe I'll find out!

I had to lose about 40 pounds before I needed to go to a smaller size (things were loose, but not that bad).  The more weight you lose and the closer you are to your goal--the sizes drop quickly.  I'm at a point now where a 5 pounds loss will result in a smaller size.

keep up the good work!  You will need a new wardrobe in no time...and when it happens, you will be down a size every 2-3 weeks.

See, that's the thing that is hard for me to imagine.  When people say, "I need to lose five pounds so I can fit into those jeans."  The idea of losing five pounds or gaining  five pounds and it actually making a difference is alien to me!

Hopefully, I'll get there, though!  Thank you!

I haven't lost as much as you, 17 lbs here. You were sleeved just a few days before me. I haven't budged in sizes, but I don't expect to for quite a while. Because I was kinda stuffing myself into the clothes I had in denial and refusal to buy the next size up! So my clothes are just starting to fit more comfortably and I expect it will be another 15lbs at least before I can wear a smaller size. I carry weight everywhere though. Big ol boobs, big legs. Stomach used to stay smaller, but even that caved and packed fat on. My arms are maybe my smaller body parts.

Yes, that's exactly it! I've been stuffing myself into old clothes, refusing to buy new ones.  So now the old ones are loose, yes, but to go down a size I probably would be a little stuffed and there's just no reason.  If you have a waist that's smaller than your hips you're better off than I am, though!  I really am an apple.  Eventually I'll be straightish up and down.  I never had a waist to speak of, even when I was thin.  Which is one reason why I always felt like I needed to lose ten pounds even when I was a teenager, because I had it in my head that it was fat around the middle that kept me from having a Barbie doll waist like some of my friends.

No, my waist is no longer smaller than my hips! LOL. My body shape is hourglass. But..that is relative. It was a large hourglass! lol. And my waiste has grown the last few yrs with more weight gain and now I would say it is egg shaped.

Common I think and frustrating.  I was a size 18 forever...like over 2 months and 40 plus pounds lost.  Then 16 finally, then wham, starting to fit 14s within just a few weeks.

Don't be discouraged! You are probably losing in places you don't notice (neck, back, arms, legs, feet). The clothes probably fit more like they were intended to. They will be history soon! You'll be in smaller sizes in no time!

I've lost 135 lbs and am still wearing the same (stretch) pants.
Frankly, the only piece of clothing that I've really had to go down in size for is a bra.

Its weird, I have lost 53 lbs and I am 1 size down in pants and tops. I would have thought more? I am also taking measurments and the inches are coming off, but idk? Just hang in there :) At least you dont have to buy clothes all the time.
