Another delay...

So on Tuesday night I wake up in a cold sweat, dizzy, heart pounding, chest burning... I got apnea so some of that happens fairly often, so anyway, go to the emergency room, they admit me and run me through the mill for tests and so fourth. Heart checks out normal, thank God, but it turns out to be acid reflux. Here's the thing though, my appointment with my surgeon had to be rescheduled for two more weeks away cause I was in the hospital...I've already been waiting to see him for three weeks. Just driving me nuts, the waiting game. I've got Kaiser so it's a drawn out deal anyway.

I meant forth, not fourth.. Darn spell check can go to he'll!

I know it's frustrating, but think about how much safer you'll be having surgery when they are sure you don't have any other problems that might make surgery less ideal. If you dr thinks your situation warrants waiting a couple of weeks, doing so is probably in your best interest. You don't want to rush into things and have complications that could have been prevented.

Besides, in the grand scheme of things, what's two more weeks? It sounds like forever right now, but once you are a couple of months out, this will all just be a blurry memory. You'll be there before you know it.

Thank you moonglo. I know you're right. I just want to be on that losers bench with y'all, and off this diet rollercoaster I been riding for the last twelve years.

I understand.  My wait from early January to late March was hell, and there were not postponements in my situation... so I can only imagine how frustrated you must be.
