Such a lite weight.  32 minutes on the wii and I'm dripping sweat! Feels great, though.  Yay for compression garments!

You're not a light-weight if you pushed yourself. Anything more than you did before is a win. I can remember walking a mile and feeling incredibly proud of myself.

Great job.

So many folks love the compression garments. Can't stand 'em. Sigh.

Without it I couldn't run or do step without having horrible soreness.  I'm only 5 weeks out of surgery whi*****luded hernia repair and every time I think I'm "healed" I stretch or pull or bounce in a new way and feel it all again!  So yeah, love it.

Plus, I put it on under some clothes and I can't believe how good I look!

I ran for 10 minutes in addition to other cardio and when I took the thing off I wasn't at all achey.  That is so different from when I did half the workout last week without it.

Ok, I love my compression garments, but if you are working out in them make sure you are getting the ones that are designed for activity. If you wear the kid that you would wear to smooth yourself out under clothing then you are setting yourself up for some bad things, because it traps the moisture close to the skin you will overheat faster and it can also lead to chaffing and skin infections.

Target has a great line of compression garments that holds everything tight but wicks the moisture away from the skin so you stay dry and cool, which will keep your skin happy and make your endurance better.

I always hear everyone talk about the compression clothing from Target, but I've never been able to locate it. Is it in the exercise wear or in the lingerie section? Do you know the brand name of it?

TIA!

I use the Champion brand that is located in the exercise clothing section - this is the one I like the best -

I wear that under one of these (have one in long sleeve and short for warm and cold weather)

Thanks for the warning.  I bought a body smoother thing because I needed it anyway.  I'm washing it daily and letting it dry, hoping that helps.  But I may break down and buy a different kind. Those you posted from Target look like they may work. Thanks!

Yeah, you definitely do NOT want to wear a regular body shaper during exercising. You will end up overheated and dehydrated which is going to sap your energy and make it harder for you to build your endurance. The Champion is pretty cheap (compared to others) and I always find them on sale in store, totally worth the investment to make your workouts more comfortable!
