Vacation--no access to MFP
It looks like I'm not going to have access to MFP on our trip unless I take my laptop. I don't have internet on my phone. And I am not really wanting to take my laptop.
I rely on MFP to do my counting for me--how much protein, how many calories.
On the other hand, I know how to make smart choices. I'm very aware of what is good protein, what is lean protein, and what is starchy carb. I'm pretty good at eyeballing amounts, as well. I measure everything at home, but since I've done that through the years for various weight loss efforts, I have a good idea what a 1/2 cup looks like. What 3 ounces looks like.
The only thing I know to do is eyeball it when eating out, and write everything down in a small book in my purse. Fortunately, the sleeve itself will keep me from doing anything stupid as far as quantity is concerned, and I do have the ability to measure what we eat when we're at "home" in our rental.
Unless anybody else has suggestions?
ETA: Which books are the best at this? I used to use WW books, but they only gave points.

Are you staying at a hotel? I think most hotels these days have computers in the lobbies for guest access. I don't have any other ideas, but I look forward to reading the replies. Hubs and I usually take a vacation once a year to the Caribbean, and the place we stay doesn't have Internet access, so no MFP
