So.... I just got back from taking my 16yo nephew to Los Angeles (from SF Bay Area) to the E3 Computer Game Convention. It's a fun few days, we stay in Santa Monica, stay up late, eat good food and have some non parental restricted fun! We have done this before but normally fly..... this trip was about preparing him for long drives as he is about to take Drivers Ed Classes........

Went through "Pre-Flight" with him.....

- Oil level
- Water level
- Power Steering
- Tire Pressures
- Tools Packed
- Brake Check

On the road..... went over "strategies" and ways to stay in the safe zones.......how to work the trucks.....be aggressive when needed to put yourself in position and clear from riff-raff.......

Was all going well.....till he started taking pics of me......So I got into Go-Kart Racing position (this is the NSV) I don't think I could have done this at 350lbs. (never tried) my stomach used to almost hit the steering wheel on this vehicle.

So this is on Interstate 5, cruise control on.....nephews "Rap" music bumpin the sub woofers...... not setting a very good example !!!!

Edit: This was only for about a minute...... I'm more of a brave "Show Off" than Stupid. (I know...debatable)

LOL Frisco the limber gymnast.

I go to Cali once a month, typically. I was just there and flew from SFO to Bakersfiend then had to drive from Bakersfield to LA. I got totally lost on Hollywood Blvd. I'm such a Texan The curves were terrifying on the road. I was clench fisted on the steering wheel. They won't let you talk on the phone there when you're driving so I had no idea how to call the hotel for directions. I could have never driven with that much flexibility!

Where are your shoes?

lol! Well you have to do something for entertainment on the I5 it can be a boring non-scenic drive. I just took that drive from the south bay to Disneyland with my kids. Coalinga is no joke! Peeeeeew!
