Today I walked 2.5 miles in 53 minutes and burned 414 calories!

I break my workouts into two sessions.
1st thing this morning I did a 30min fitness video and will leave during lunch to do a spinning class.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and burned (apparently) 374 calories and did 30 minutes on the bike and burned 200 calories.

I dont really trust those calorie counters on the machine but I dont have anything else to go off of..

Yep you are right about not trusting the calories burned on the machine.
Last year I bought a heart rate monitor and found that in most cases the gym equipment said I burned about  45 to 75 calories more than what my HRM said I actually burned.... yikes!

Right now I dont care enought to buy a HRM but at least im doing something (exercise wise). I put it into MFP and their numbers were even higher than the gyms!

How do you guys motivate yourself? I feel good once I get going but how do you KEEP going day after day? I suck!

I keep looking at pictures of people that are doing really good and that I wanna look like- Like I go in the PS forum. Plus I woke up today and had a 3lb loss so I wanted to keep it up.

My motivation is the best feeling in the world.
When I go to the gym and I get a good workout, I always go to the sauna for about 15 mins and reflect on what I did, and how my body feels and what I will do the next time I come.

I have to say that a sauna visit after a good workout is one of the most relaxing and best feelings in the world!!

Today I'm a week out started to go to the gym only the treadmill. going 1.9 speed and doing a Mile burn 91 Cals.

My motivation, seeing my husband looking at other women the way I want and deserve to be looked at.... Knowing one day I will not need the approval of ANYONE because NOONE is doing this for me, that I am the only one who can change/fix me....Then I take out all my anger, self loathing, etc. in the gym!   Sorry, not the sweetest ansswer, but that is my truth for the day.
