Ball game food?

Honestly, if it isn't something I had already tried at home I would not try it for the first time out in public. I have stuff that sits heavy and makes me feel like crap so I don't like to risk it if I am going out to have a good time.

I am farther out then you, but I usually get a cheese steak (Phillies fan over here LOL) and ask for the onions/peppers on the side, I take my 3 ozs of meat and cheese and a tiny bit of the onions and peppers and give the rest to my vultures ...uh...I mean children.

When I was a newer op, I would take stuff with me (a shake or protein bar) so if I felt snacky or hungry I had something. I always explain at the gate that I have special dietary restrictions/diabetic etc and they never give me a hard time.

That's a really good point, I didn't think about that. I probably won't have tried shrimp or oysters by Friday. Maybe I'll try sneaking some turkey pepperoni in my purse or something to that effect. Thanks!!
LOL about the vultures comment! In my support group I describe my husband as a skinny food vacuum. At least leftovers don't go to waste haha!

LOL with five kids (four of them boys) there are never, ever leftovers. I can't even remember the last time I was able to take home a doggy bag :)

Did you have diabetes before you had your surgery?  Looking for people who had diabetes and had the sleeve.  I see you ,mentioned diabetes in your one post.

I had diabetes type 2 before the sleeve. Feel free to message me if you have any questions and I will try my best to answer them.

I did not have diabetes before surgery, so I am no help. I had some "pre" diabetes symptoms and was on metaformin, but I was never diagnosed with type 2. Hopefully someone can help you out.

I'm having trouble getting around on the site.  You said you had type 2 diabetes before the sleeve.  Were you on insulin?  I am trying to find persons who have had the sleeve and were on insulin.  I have left messages everywhere and no one answers.  So thank you for at least answering.  Did your diabetes go away immediately after surgery?  Tell me as many details as your would like.

Thank You

Had half of a hot dog at a Reds game last week and was ok.  The heat sure didn't make it sit well though.

I imagine the heat wasn't so great on the hot dog :/ I think, for me, if I ate a hot dog at this stage it would just make me want more hot dogs :(

This early out, I would bring my own food.  Take the guesswork out of the equation and eat what's on program.  You might have something that doesn't agree with you and feel really sick all game long.  Early out, I hardly ever went out to eat, and when I did, I was super careful about not eating something I had not tried before.  Even with that, I had a few oopses.
