THIS IS REALLY MESSING WITH MY HEAD
So sorry you are going thru this right now, stalls are horrible! As for being an engineer I wouldn't know a load cell from a jail cell. I am an RN and what I do know is that calories in versus calories out cause weight loss when the in is less than the out so you will drop more weight!! It just will be on it's time and it's terms, hon but in the meantime I send you all the best and hopes for the stall to go away ASAP xoxo

Rob, you have done an amazing job so far, but do you not think that maybe your body is telling you >> this is the weight you should be? You do eat the same things a lot, try switching it up a bit. Maybe add some veg to your supper with fish instead of chicken . If you still are not loosing any more, you may have to just come to realize, THIS IS YOUR GOAL WEIGHT and go onto maintenance. Any way you look at it, YOU ARE TRULY A WINNER AND AN INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US! Good luck
This is normal, totally normal. It happened to me too and I eventually got to goal. This will not be a straight line down to goal, it's going to be a staircase and sometimes the weight will go up before it goes down. Trust the process, there is no way it can fail you. Yes, it will take longer than you like, yes, you will get impatient, but you will not quit and you will eventually reach goal. There is not a doubt in my mind that this will happen. If you go back and read my posts at about this same time in my journey, you will see the exact same phenomena was happening to me. Don't increase your calories, don't stop weighing yourself, but do develop a new perspective. It is just part of the normal process, you are on the right course, this road goes directly to goal, just relax, take a deep breath and keep putting one foot in front of the other, all the way to goal. If you want/need to talk to me, let me know and I will give you my phone number. There is nothing you need to change, there is no time limit on this, you don't get a prize at the end, the journey just evolves to the next stage. Nothing big will change when you reach goal, you will be able to eat more, but so what, you are probably pretty comfortable with your food now. I am here if you need me.
Rob, I am SO SORRY! I am frustrated right along with you. In fact, I just PM'd you on MFP to see if you can spot a reason for me to have gained 6 lbs since my 1000 calorie birthday celebration on the 22nd. Just when I was sure I'd 'never see the 80's again,' I am in the midst of it.
I am about ready to give up. But you can't give up! You are too close to your goal. With you it is just a matter of time.
Feel free to vent to me anytime.

1. are you measuring? Are you losing inches when the weight loss slows? it's like a teeter-totter...you stop pounds, lose inches, stop inches lose pounds - it's the body adjusting to sudden losses.
2. Is you diet always the same? Vary it - go up and down 200-400 calories....keep the body guessing when it will get fuel. If you maintain 800 (+/- 50) every day - the body gets used to that and learns to use what it needs and "store" the rest for emergencies....it's survival....by varying your body won't know what to expect and keeps burning at 1000/day even if you take in 700....
3. get rid of the scale! then you have to go somewhere to weigh in. That will make you think before you go to a friends house daily to jump on their scale....you won't want to look like an impatient freak to others, but you allow you to do it to yourself? remove the temptation.
4. your doing great - don't beat yourself up.

Rob, sometimes I read your posts and I swear you are "my brother from another mother."
We see things very similarly and maybe it is because we are both engineers but whatever it is I just wanted to share 2 things with you. First, I am currently experiencing my first gain since surgery and its really ******g me the hell off! I have not cheated once on my plan since surgery and have been pretty diligent with exercise and the damn scale has went up 3.5 lbs over the past 2 weeks! I have changed the button battery...twice....got out the damn level because obviously I must have flooring issues and even went out and bought a very expensive scale to add to the 3 that were already sitting in my bathroom. And that ****** had the nerve to read the same damn thing! Anyways, this is supposed to be an uplifting, positive response so let me get back on track! The other thing I wanted to share is two of my favorite quotes that have sort of become my mantra. I actually have them on a post it note close to all those scales that are currently reading wrong...maybe you have heard or have read them before but if not maybe you will find some meaning in them as well. First one is a Steinbek quote..."a journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing and coercion are fruitless. We find that after years of struggle that we do not take a trip; a trip takes us." And the other is just some proverb that always redirects my thoughts and helps me concentrate on the positives..."those who wish to sing, always find a song." Look at what you have done so far man!!! You amaze me...and I hope you amaze yourself as well!!!
