THIS IS REALLY MESSING WITH MY HEAD

I know stalls happen.   I know to stay on my plan and they will resolve themselves.  I know this is probably jus****er/muscle build up.  I know all of this.  ITs just not helping right now.

The scale has moved into reverse again.

This has happened 2 or 3 times over my weight loss, usually after a trip.  It happened earlier this month when I came back from Detroit.  IT's just never happened this close together before.  I am back to weighing more than I did last Thursday.  I know how ridiculous that sounds as I type it, You all might be the only people who understand that.

I know some will say - don't weigh for a week.  Keep in mind that, as I have written before, I am an engineer with impatience issues - you are lucky I dont have load cells in my sneakers.

I am not crossing the 600 calorie border.  I am continuing my running and my workouts.  I am doing everything I know to do.  My biggest fear is seeing that scale cross 200 again.  That would devastate me.

Every morning when I see that scale inch up its eating a piece of my soul.  I don't know why its bothering me so much right now, but it is.  God I wish we had group tonight!  We need sponsors like in AA!

Anyways, thanks for listening.  It helps to just write it out.

Join my F**** train wreck of a month....i'm sooo irritated that as soon as I hit 201, the scale has done nothing but go up. Okay, maybe my fault for slipping up a few times and eating a few things I shouldnt, but considering my avg calories for the last month have been 900 or so - there's no way I can be gaining fat (hell or muscle for that matter)

I'm freaking out with this 3 week stall ive been in, but oh well...what am i going to do??

It'll go back down - ive learned that over the last two years. I can promise you that. I just still dont beleive it myself :-p

I keep seeing the posts about that last pounds being a *****  I guess this is just the hurdle we have to jump to get to maintenance.

I know we can do it!

Besides you and I are going to be plastics buddies this fall, right?  I had my first consultation yesterday and have another one this afternoon.

Hell yeah. I woke up this morning and Im too tired to care about my weight today, so I decided i will just hack off and lipo my last 20-30 lbs off **** it.

I'm not flipping out right now about my weight because worse case scenario - I have about 15 lbs worth of excess skin/fat and PS will give me a nice swift kick in the ass metabolically and I'll lose the last 5-10 lbs post plastics (haha when my crippled ass can't get up and go eat whatever I want!!)

Have you thought about a body fat % test.  The real deal Hydrostatic kind?  That might help.  You know the real deal like anyone knows is body fat percentage.  Also hide the scale!  I've had to before.

HW: 351 Pre-op: 272  Current: 140.7 Goal:160      M1:14 M2:14  M3:11  M4:10 M5:10  M6:12  M7:8  M8:6 M9: 6 M10:7 M11: 6 M12: 4 M13: 5 M14:7 M15: 4 M16: 3 M17: 1   M18: 4

Actually I have.  I was advised to actually NOT do the body fat % until I was a couple of months into maintenance by the people at the testing center.

Their reasoning was that although the body fat percentage may stay the same - the body is still going through a period off adjustment and may be shifting things about.  It hasn't reached its point of homeostatsis yet and a final balance hasn't been achieved.  The place I found actually has quite a bit of experience in dealing with bariatric patients - its not just a technician with a bod pod.

It definately helps to write your emotions out! I have not gotten surgery yet (3 month hospital sessions)  but reading what you are going through is giving me insight to what is in store! You have worked so hard to get where you are. You are doing everything you are supposed to do and stalls happened to everyone!!
If it becomes an obession to look at the scale, you should instead pick up the phone and talk to someone or come here and write like you are now!I wish you all the best! You are doing great!! KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!
