Yay! I'm Normal and getting back to the old interests

OK, So I can cross another mini goal off my list!

I am NORMAL - Yes a BMI of 24.9 (OK 24.95, but I'll take it!).  4.4 pounds to goal.

I was tempted to reweigh myself after running this morning (at 5:30 to beat the heat) knowing that would put me 2 lbs down (i tend to lose a liter of water via sweat when I run).  But I am doing my best to not obsess over the scale.  It can be hard when you are close to a milestone goal, not to mention THE GOAL.

I also started pursuing some of my old interests again this weekend.  I used to love doing amateur astronomy.  When I had let myself get into such disrepair it really just wasn't possible anymore.  Hiking out into the best viewing spots, standing on my feet for hours, lugging heavy equipment.  God I haven't done this seriously in almost 10 years.  I can't Wait.

I had also let my equipment get into disrepair - there was no saving my old telescope - the mirrors were just too far gone, eyepieces had gotten lost in 3 moves, etc.  I used every last one of my frequent flyer miles on getting me a new Celestron NexStar Computerized scope.  Can't wait for it to get here.  I already have my first few new observations planned - I am going Asteroid Hunting!  And this scope is pre-equiped to take my SLR so I can share my observations.

I figure the best way to not be obsessed by my weight is to get back to living my life and all of the things I enjoy.  Of course that includes always staying mindful, but maintaining and managing my weight does not mean devoting every ounce of thought and energy to it.

NORMAL.

That is not what I usually ascribe to, since being weird and abnormal is more fun. But weight-wise?

FANTASTIC!

Good luck with the next 4.4 pounds!

And the astronomy is going to be wonderful.  Returning to old interests and passions--I think that inspires a lot of us to shed the pounds.

[I'm not gaining weight. I keep lowering my goal!] [I LOVE MY SLEEVE!]

Definitely Weight Wise.  MOst people who know me say I have a decidedly twisted take on things, LOL.

Hijack:  Last time I went horseback riding they had to bring out an enourmous horse.  Rode up a mountain in Tennessee, and the poor thing kept trying to commit suicide by sliding off the train and down the mountain- with me on it.  I think we were both pretty traumatized!  I can't wait to try again, and when I hit goal I am making the hubby drive my hours and hours back to Gaitlinberg so we can try that again :0)

It felt so good for me to become "overweight" on the BMI Chart & now I cannot wait to see "normal". You are doing awesome & will reach goal really soon!
