I ran my first 5K! PICS!
Hey there, everybody! I just got back from running my first 5K and I wanted to share with you all because before I got my sleeve, I couldn't run from here to the door of my bedroom and when I started training in February, I couldn't jog more than 30 seconds straight.
First, I have to say that I did do the Camp Pendleton 10K Mud run about a month ago (where I bumped into our very own and always stunning SweetItalian1) but I didn't really count that because I was walking a lot and climbing through muck and over walls and stuff. It was a killer. Also, the only exciting picture I have from that is from my pre-race nap:

Anywho, fast forward to this morning and I was able to run a full 5K without walking! My time was a horrible 40:16 but that's okay because I accomplished the goal I set for myself. Here are a few shots of my amazing runner's physique in action

These photos (will maybe not the napping one) are proof that anything is possible with the sleeve! Get out there and live your dreams, people! Now that I've accomplished my goal, I think I'll go back to my favorite sport: CHANNEL SURFING! Hahaha ZING!
And now I'll leave you with a pic to celebrate the 4th of July! Go USA! The country where you are free to wear TIGHTY WHITIES!

Way to go! That is an AWESOME accomplishment!
Running a 5K is one of my (scary) goals, too! I started walking 3 miles, 3 times a week in late January and finally joined the local YMCA (new and awesome) and started working out. I'm hoping to get accomplish that 5K goal by early next year.
Thanks for being an inspiration!
