I have the coffee bean problem too. I don't drin****d coffee at night often but when I do, I can drink a regular one around 7pm and have no issues falling asleep by 10:30pm. I was never a coffee drinker before surgery so this is weird for me.
About 1x a year I'd get a wild hair and decide to quit coffee.. after a couple months, I'd go back. After a couple years of doing this, I decided not to quit any more.. it's something I really enjoy, and there are health benefits to drinking coffee! So, it's a health food- yes?
Yes! I believe I was told not to drink coffee for a while after surgery though. This iced coffee addiction of mine is fairly new, about 3 months old. It's like my long lost friend.
Gurl, I was never a coffee gal either. This addiction happened about 3 months ago. I guess there are worst things I could get addicted to like chocolate cake vodka shots. OK sorry, I won't even go there.
:)
I've been drinking caffeine since mo 2 post op.. not sure why some say no, many don't. Caffeine is not a diuretic (except in very high amounts in those who don't drink it..) but that doesn't mean they (Drs) are up to speed.. Different strokes, but I will always have caffeine..
I'm sure you can order them decaf. I was just instructed by my surgeon to avoid coffee with caffiene early out but I started drinking them at 8-9 months post op.
