CARBS

I've kept my plan between 80-120g carbs and it's worked for me.  I've done extreme low carb in the past.  Sure, I lost a good amount of weight rather quickly.  And, it was (unfortunately) very easy to gain it back once I increased those carbs.  So, things work for me keeping my carb level a bit higher.  And, that's how I like it.  I always say it's important for everyone to remember that everyBODY is different.  Best of luck to you!

 Nutritionally balanced...

I eat carbs and do not try to restrict them to the point of inducing ketosis.  That is not a balanced approach, but if it is an approach that works for a person than that is fantastic.  Not eating the carbs equals low blood sugar for me and constipation.

I track more than just protein and carbs.  I have low iron (an issue that was a problem prior to surgery) so, for example, I make sure I have iron rich food included daily.

I do not need to use calcium citrate- I get all that I need from my food intake.  Same goes with the second multi- for now I only take it because of the iiron, but will be looking to adjust that with the consent of the medical team at the next set of appointments.

I eat fruits and veggies and get enough fiber now from food.  Back when I did  the Frisco plan I was having to take a boatload of colace, use benefiber, etc.  Absolutely this resulted from not eating a balanced nutrional diet.

Aboout the vinegar... never heard of that before :)

Try to stop the grazing... that can lead to some terrible habits roaring back.

Ahhh..... That makes a lot of sense now.....

HT seems to be able to lose weight eating about "Twice" the calories and carbs than the majority.(Great for her!) Which also means it must of been much easier for her to control her weight before surgery.

Back to the OP who posted that she is not losing weight at this time and we are trying to find solutions to get her back on track with her WL.

I would think the major obvious difference between the Happy Plan and a more conventional approach to VSG WL eating for the OP is that HT is a full 14 inches taller than the OP. What works for a 6' 2'' person may not work so well for a 5' person. Not always of course, but the OP says she is not losing weight following a similar plan to the Happy Plan.

Like most that have posted here on this thread, what works for HT doesn't seem to work for most......

Yeah for HT...... Boo for the rest of us that can't lose the weight the way she can......must be nice!

Ok, Frisco... does it **** you off that somebody can be succusful at this without doing exactly the plan you prescribe?  Because seriously, this post has nothing positive.

Yea, I am taller than her... but no idea how much more or perhaps less than I weigh than her.  The calories she is burning is more dependent on her weight then her height at this point. But really, I digress from the point.
HER nutrionist is recommending adjustments for her... no where in her post did I read that her nutritionist feels terrible about not consulting Frisco first to make a more educated recommendation.   I am feeling like you keep going back to my height and use that as a "reason" why people should absolutely not follow what their nutritionists recommend.  And I stand by the fact that I eat TWICE what some posters ate, because you know what... it is working beautifully for me.  And yes, the exercise is working beautifully for me.  And yes, that is EXACTLY what MY bariatric team recommends.  And by following what my DOCTORS AND NUTS recommend I will be at goal shortly.  And if that ****** you off may I suggest you get a hobby other than presenting yourself on this site as somebody who is smarter and more knowledgable than the doctors and nutrionists across the country.

Nope..... doesn't bother me at all......I have coached many with plans very different than "My Bariatric Teams Plan" I'm a BIG fan of "Do what ya Gotta Do" to get the weight off.......

Dr. Cirangle is the best promoter of this concept also...... You show up to an appointment with respectable WL and proper labs, he will just say..... "Keep doing what your doing......Can I help you with anything"

As far as this thread goes..... please read the many posts from people who have done better than myself and read my posts encouraging the OP to follow her Nuts advise. I also point out several times that what you are doing seems to be working for you.

The OP states slowed WL and looking for advise..... people gave it and she received it.......

I won't even comment on your other remarks...... I don't need to grasp at air........

Congrats on your WL...... !!!
