I'm 3 days out. I don't feel any different. It doesn't hurt when I swallow. Is this normal. I'm afraid my sci did not make me small enough. Any answers?

You are ok.  I did not have too much difficulty with liquids after surgery.  It is only once I started eating thicker foods that I felt different.

Jewel you've been on this board long enough to know this answer!  Thousands of us have blazed this trail before ya.....one only needs to go back not even 3 months of past pages...to find the answer to many of yer questions.  Pretty much after that...is all the same ole same old themes.

Please also revisit VSG FAQs the wordpress one posted frequently by ANNIVA I think. Its a " VSG MEMBER" discussion FAQs...much better than the OH one on the right...looks at common questions and discussions.

Up above in the SEARCH BAR....enter "VSG"  then your question ...always VSG FIRST...will help narrow down your search ok!

My surgery was a week ago. I felt a restriction when trying to get my protein shakes in, that's when I really noticed it!

Jewelz - you won't feel any restriction until you move to dense protein.  Liquids and mushy foods just slide right through.

Thanks for the responses. I will continue to question the vets about my issues. Please only answer if it doesn't annoy you.

 Jewelz,

I think what Carmelita was trying to tell you is that you have the power to get the answers you want, from the same vets, without having to wait.  If you search you can find some of these questions without much effort at all.  No one minds answering questions, but you own this journey.  You can find much of the information you are looking for, and probably answers to some questions you aren't thinking of yet,  rapidly with just a little extra effort.
