5 month check in for March 2012 sleevers!

Hey sleeve brothers and sisters how are you all doing?
I am 73 lbs down since March 20th! I am feeling great, just started to lose my hair though?
How about you? How much have you lost, and have any of you started to lose your hair?
Are there any good treatments out there to slow down the hair loss?

I'm close to march... april 3 . Closer to most march'ers than some aprils ;-)
Down 80 lbs. Seems to have slowed the last couple of weeks. I still want to lose 35-40 lbs/
My hair is coming out in horrible amounts as of about 2-3 weeks ago. Thankfully I have lots of hair. Even if I lose 1/2 I'm still good.
I've noticed my capacity is a bit higher than it was before. It's not a bad thing. I like being able to eat a little bit of variety.

Hi, Congrats on your weightloss. I too am 5 months out since my sleeve. I have lost a total of 79.5 lbs and I am 6 lbs away from goal weight. I had my hair thinning majorly. I use biotin and it seems to help. I also you Nioxin hair care products *#4 for Noticeable thinning hair. It seems to help.
Congrats again.

I'm 9 days shy of five months, and I was down 79 pounds... in a bit of a stall at the moment, so I'm back up two of those. Whatever... it'll go back down.
I honestly can't tell if I'm losing more hair or not... I had hair loss before surgery due to PCOS, so I can't really tell if it's the same, better, or worse... I'm just used to seeing small amounts of shedding. It doesn't seem to be more shedding, so I guess that's a good sign.

Hi.
Congratulations on your weight loss.
I've only lost 48 lbs or so since surgery on March 19th, but I'm feeling great as well.
My major hair loss started at about the 2nd month, and lasted a bit over 2 months. It has slowed quite a lot, but is still a little more than I used to lose before surgery. I've lost about 1/2 to 2/3 of hair volume, but luckily, had lots to start with.
I took biotin for a while, but don't really think it did any good. The bacteria that lives in the normal gut produces enough of it, and our surgery shouldn't have affected the bacteria that much, typically, at least.

5 months out as of the 16th of this month. 85lbs gone forever!!!
Yes, I have started to lose hair. I shed alot post-op, but within the last month I've noticed an increase in hair loss. I take Biotin, Zinc and I am using some left over Nioxin I had from several months ago in my cubbord. There is nothing you can do to stop or slow down the hair loss... anyone who swears by something working is just lucky enough to not have been a victim of it... or it's really mild. My hair is very thin, but I have a lot of it. I also dyed my hair back to my natural colour (dark brown) and it has helped a ton... makes my hair look fuller/thicker.

I was sleeved on March 12th and am down 80lbs. I'm in a 3 week stall not to mention I'm retaining water right now due to the monthly.
I was a size 28 panta and 5x shirt at WalMart. Now I'm in a size 20 pants (getting close to an 18) and my shirt are 2x.
I've lost plenty of hair but it seems to have slowed down a lot. I take Biotin as well.
Congrats to everyone on your weight loss!! I know I am feeling so much better and enjoying every step of this journey.
