Okay this is going to sound strange, did anyone have an adverse reaction to the anesthesia?  I have never had surgery before so I am concerned.  My older sister throws up violently when she comes out of it.  That is the one thing that really scares me about this surgery.

I have the same trouble, but if you tell them your concerns, they will give anti nausea drugs and you will be fine.

best part of my many surgeries was the anesthesia.

I get very nauseated with anesthetic.  It's gotten better, though, as when I was coming around, I managed to mumble "nausea" and they popped some dissolvable strips in my mouth.  The first day was a bear for me, but the more I got up, moved, walked, the easier it became.

Ask for a scopalamine patch before surgery.  It helps a lot!

I had severe sleep apnea so when I woke up in recovery I was gasping for air.  Scary feeling.  Nurses were right there and put me on oxygen and I was fine.  Good luck!!

They had me put on a scopolomine patch before surgery and gave me anti-nausea meds during or right after surgery (according to the surgical report!).  I had no problems or reactions from anesthesia.

I was offered a pill called amend for morning before surgery. I had to pay for it, but I had no nausea.  The pill price was like $70, but with my Bcbs insurance I stilled had to pay $50 for it.  I would say it was well worth it. Good luck to ya!

I always get sick after anesthesia. The last two times I've had surgery (incluing yesterday's VSG), I mentioned it to the anesthesiaologist, and I was given meds during surgery. I got a little nausiated last night, and they gave me some meds for it. This moring, the nurse got me the patch I use when I go on a cruize. Now the problem is I'm very groggy and sleepy. So, I hope this post makes sense.
