Surgeon says "your weight loss slowed down already"
Every surgeon has their own agenda and plan with each patient. And most people on here would tell you to follow your surgeon's orders, but I have a word of warning...be careful with the seeds. I would not eat the seeds, yet. I was advised twelve weeks for seeds, nuts, and skins. Not shooting the messenger. Just friendly advice.
P. S. you are doing great. I went through a major stall that seriously got me down. I kept thinking this too, shall pass...and guess what, it did. I go through a stall here, or there, they may last for a week at a time, but from what I can tell, it is 100% normal.
Good luck to you!!

I'm sure that your surgeon didn't mean any harm..I'm only 4 months out and my doctor told me for the next 3 months I should see drastic weightloss. My advice is stick to whatever your protcol is, drink your water and exrecise. your body will suprise you. Rememmber this is a tool so make it work for you. i look forward to your 2 month report. Hang in there! Blessings to you!
Seeds and Coffee...... probably better to wait a while......

Thank you all. I am not letting him get me down, but if I wasn't on this board you better believe I would have panicked because I wouldn't have known anything about it ya know?
I know that my weight loss will pick up and be great and I am not scared. I just get frustrated when I feel like the doc should know this stuff and if he doesn't it's scary. Oh well, anyway. . . . Yeah, I need to ask how many he has done. I agree. But like the comment above implies, it's done and I am on the other side of it.

I'm confused...based on what is your weight loss slowing? I stall every month and than lose 10 pounds in two weeks. This has happened to me about three times now. Maybe he isn't that familiar with VSG? Or maybe he was having a bad day. My loss has been what some would call slow but whatever. I don't care what people say. I'm the person who decides how successful I'll be, not my surgeon, not this board, and not some 12 month time line. Starting out as what they call a "Heavyweight" I can't think any way else. Otherwise, how else could I reach my goal? Only positive thoughts

Totally agree, Happy girl. I pressed him on it actually, I said my weight loss will pick back up though, right? He didn't really answer, sort of half nodded. It's annoying because the office uses electronic medical records so the docs I see now are barely looking at me their face is in the computer typing the whole time. I am all for technology and love it, but make some eye contact. (He did a little but still).
