FINALLY A DATE

So... when is the big day? 
Being nervous is completely normal. I was in tears when they rolled me back to the OR for my sleeve lol... my nerves were that shot. Looking back now, it seems so silly, but I was a basket case in the 48 hours or so leading up to surgery. Be ready to remind yourself that whatever you are feeling up to that point is completely normal.

Congrats!! I'm 8 days post now, I was so excited, then a date and I swear I lost my mind I cried, scared, depressed, wrote goodbye letters, cleaned house, bought a grand in groceries so my family would live without me, paid bills in full, a wreck!!!
Then day of flight, I felt like I had to let everyone know I was sorry for being selfish
Day of surgery, devestatingly exhausted, terrified this was it
For 4 days after I think I was bipolar
Regrets!!!!!!!!!
Day 5 woke up and I was me again:). 8 days post I'm down 12 lbs I feel great I'm happy NO REGRETS!
Recommend it to anyone, I have a new beginning! No more self hate!
Its a big journey, so expect every emotion and know your doing it for the right reasons and you will be so thrilled when your through it!

I began my journey 2 yrs ago...but had some other changes in my life that I had to deal with and then 6 months ago really began the process full force. However...something always got in the way of a speedy WLS date...Doc on vacation...Insurance issue...medical complication...backed up testing schedule. I NEVER thought I was ever really going to have the surgery...ever. THEN...the planets aligned, the seas parted, and thanks to my awesome Surgon...when I finally got the green light, he moved me up and I all of a sudden had a 12 day notice before my date! I FREAKED and panicked and all that...but the day came and went...I'm 2.5 weeks out and on the loser side now!!!!
Just take a BIG DEEP BREATH ( pray if you're a person of faith)...and you'll be on the other side before you know it!!!!
