Woke up this morning 1lb heavier. Ugh. Hate those days. I know why. Still hate those days. Stupid stupid PMS.

Thanks to my hubby for putting something in perspective. He came home from BJs (wholesale club) and told me to come into the kitchen.

He picked up a 44lb bag of dog food and was like "here, hold this." I didn't get it. He was like "you've lost 70lbs so far. You can't even hold 44lbs without struggling. Can you imagine what that was like for your body?"

Oh yea. Duh! Thanks babe!

I love how practical guys can be.  We can sometimes get so lost in our heads, and they come along and wham bam, there it is -- the plain truth.  Sounds like you have a good one there.

I have one of those good eggs, too, and it's so very helpful when he puts things into perspective!

Our son is a BIG boy (4 but looks to be 7-8) and I tried to carry him into the house the other day after he fell asleep in the car.  He weighs about 70-75 pounds and I couldn't believe how hard it was....my husband said, "And just think, you've lost almost twice him!"  This was on a day I thought I've been doing horribly, etc.  It was so nice to have him break it down for me :)

Sleeved - 1/23/12       Starting weight - 331                  Current weight - 195

That is great perspective also. My son is 6 and weighs 42lbs.

When I first hit that amount lost, it blew my mind.

Congrats and keep up the good work!

Yahoo for supportive partners. My hubby was shocked when I lost the first 50lbs and he realised it was the equivalent of the backpack that he carried on his military march. When I lost 100lbs he had a hard time wrapping his mind around the fact that I carried that around with me all day every day. 2x the weight of his backpack. He then realised that all those times I was following him about with tired legs or winded after a flight of stairs that I was carrying around 2 backpacks of weight. He is so proud now and super happy going to the gym with me on his off days.

Awesome! I keep telling my husband I want him to be in pain just like I am after I work out. lol.

We are working on doing this as a team but he is being the more support system.

That is awesome, Tiff! My husband puts it in term of bowling balls- "Hey, honey, that's like three bowling balls!" It's funny, because its not like I'm a bowler or anything!
