I need some ideas...
What can't I live without post-op? What a great question.
So far I'm finding that I must have things to distract myself from thinking about food. This means crafts (needlepoint, knitting, etc) and books. I have them in my car, I have them at home, I have them at work.
As for food itself, I'm finding the RTD Premier Protein shakes indispensable. I drink one a day in the morning and it takes care of any hunger I might be feeling for a very long time.
Also deli meat (turkey, chicken, roast beef****ep around constantly for snacks, and I must have cheese every day.
Vitamins: Centrum chewables are great. They don't taste nasty and go down pretty easy. Also I take Trader Joe's B12-- it dissolves under the tongue almost instantly.

A protein shaker
A food scale (I use a Weigh****chers digital food scale that I found at Goodwill for $2!)
Sugar-free mints (because my breath gets rank now)
Greek yogurt
SF Torani Syrup
Starkist Tuna Creations (basically 2.5 oz. prepackaged flavored tuna)
Regular skim milk and Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk
A small 1/2 cup bowl. I fill it with soup and at this point can always finish that much soup. I don't have to guesstimate as to how much to put in. I just fill 'er up.
A Sonicare toothbrush. I started getting staining and buildup post surgery and the only thing that worked was this, very pricey, toothbrush.
And I'm totally with Allison. SPANDEX is your FRIEND.

Premier RTD protein drink, chocolate - pre-breakfast
Cottage cheese/gr yogurt/torani SF hazelnut syrup - breakfast
Trader Joe's adult chewable hi-potency vitamin
Trader Joe's sublingual B12
Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium (I track calcium online, then supplement to get about 1500 gm)
Sugarless/flourless PB cookies - find any recipe for flourless PB cookies and just substitute Splenda for sugar. I eat a couple a day, usually near bedtime. I did cut way down on the Splenda, but that was just for my taste.
Celestial Seasons herb tea - I make a two-cup concoction of 2 bags honey vanilla chamomile to 1 bag of Bengal spice. Put about a cup of unsweetened almond milk in it, and this is very soothing to my tummy. (I drink this cold.) It gives me 24 oz of liquid, too.
Speaking of which, my Keurig! I make a couple cups of coffee each morning, then switch to tea. Couldn't live without it.
And then, of course, Miralax, which I put in my first cup of coffee every day. I actually use the Costco brand, cheaper but the same stuff.
I have developed dry skin, not sure if it's age (I'm 62) or surgery or both. So lately I slather on baby oil while still wet from the shower, and regular lotion on the really dry/itchy spots after drying off. (A tip about the baby oil, take it from me - step OUT of the shower before applying!)
Shapewear! I've found that the kind that hooks in the crotch works best because it doesn't roll up. My favorite is a brand called Lipo in a Box. Spendy but cheaper than plastics! And I swear, it works on me like the Thundershirt works on dogs - makes me calm! I know, weird huh.
I hope this helps!
