I have taken Prilosec and Zantac, I have never had these issues before surgery either. When i was 6 weeks out I started to have this issue, it was really bad for 2 weeks and it has gotten better. They had me double up on the prilosec dose for one week. Tums provided immediate relief as well. My surgeon puts everyone on prilosec for 60 days after surgery for a prevenative measure. Hopefully it will get better in time, take care!
