Positive influences.
I never in a million years thought I'd find someone 110% supportive of my weight loss goals. I recently started a new relationship. I spent the last 4 years with someone who wouldn't even get off the couch, let a lone dare try to adjust eating habits. was ANGRY when I decided I wanted to get surgery so forth and so on.. He was negative, and for all intensive purposes drained the life out of me.
This new guy is.. amazing. I've been completely honest about my surgery. How silly is it to see this 250 + pound chick taking no more then 6 bites of food. I'm not trying to fool anyone. The other night I was at a poker game and found myself eating a couple candies and to my surprise he actually removed the bowl from my sight. At first I was offended as this was maybe or second date. I could see he could tell I was not impressed but instead of me having a hissy fit like I normally would he simply held my hand and said, "Tanis, you work so hard, and you're doing so good. Don't throw it away for some candies." I was shocked. When he cooks for me, he portions my plates and assures me when I'm full to STOP and sometimes I try to keep eating and he just takes it away so I'm letting my "head hunger" get the best of me. Asks me every day how many calories I've burnt/how was the gym.. And of course, he assures me I'm breath taking now, but can't wait to see me at the end of my journey. I've never meet someone so supportive in my life.
I'm just .. at a loss for words.
I hope that all of you find someone like this, or have someone like this in your life.
You better be acknowledging to him how much you appreciate him being supportive and in this with you !!!!
We men are not that smart..... but like a dog..... if we get a treat every so often for doing something good.... we can do it over and over again.....
