I need my azz kicked...
Hi OH peeps!
So, I'm 26 weeks out and ranging between 51 to 55 lbs down, going from 306 to 255ish. I am so disgusted at myself. The scale really hasn't moved since Oct and it's ALL my fault! I am going through the final process of divorce (filed in 2010) and have my divorce trial on Jan 24th. I have found myself mindlessly snacking on carby stuff. I feel NO restriction with carby stuff. However, when I cook or eat out, I generally follow the rules and eat protein first. The moment I smell real cooked food, my stomach starts to restrict. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I had started exercising in Dec and developed an ugly rash that required medical attention, turned out to be yeast. I need to get my head back in the game. I still have like 80 lbs to lose and a lot of surgery debt since I was self-pay. What the heck is wrong with me??? Losing this weight is the key to my happiness and I am afraid I am failing.
First off, no one here is a failure!!! Got that? Good!
Yeast...your problem is carbs. What does yeast feed on? Sugar! What are carbs? Sugar!! Now you know the problem. Call your doc, get as much Diflucan as he will give you. Demand at least a 5 day course of 100mg each day. Get as much as he will prescribe. It is an antifungal. Yeast is a fungus. You also need topical antifungals for whatever rash u have, but diflucan will rid the fungus IN you. Also, cutting out carbs will starve what the diflucan wont kill. Keep in mind, you will feel like **** the first week. This is fungal die off. They REALLY HATE to die and will make you feel like u have the flu. This is how u know you r killing them. they are also responsible for your cravings. Expect severe carb cravings and ignore them!!
Check out Knowthecause.com You will teach yourself about the issues fungus/yeast causes in your body.
You asked for it!
Why are you even buying Carby Stuff to have around you? Can you replace those snacks with beef or turkey jerky? How about loading up your fridge with preportion ziplock containers of browned ground beef or turkey so when you want to snack it can be all protein.
Your divorce is most certainly increasing your cortisol levels which will ultimately slow your weight loss but the carby stuff has to go. Also make sure you are getting your water in. You know the drill you lost 50+lbs using your plan. Now get back on it. Its all up to you, stop relying on your sleeve to lose the weight and put the effort into it. Now that you are divorced you want to look good, so make it happen!

Keith, have I told you that I love you?
Let me just say that losing weight will not make you any happier - it's a grand illusion that we all have before WLS and during the WL phase, but 230 lbs and some PS later - losing weight did not make me happier. That has to come from inside. You are going through a divorce - a major life change -you probably should consider counseling to help cope/get through it/ learn to love yourself.
You need to spend some time exploring the reasons why you think you are sabotaging yourself at this point - there's little value in anyone telling you to get back to the basics and eat 600-800 cal, etc, unless you can figure out WHY you are doing this, and WHAT you are going to do about it.
Im over 18 mo out, and struggling, and will continue struggling, so i get it....but you need to address the head issues before the WL will pick up.

Well said...it is EXACTLY posts like this that have made me see after 5 long years of WLS that I need therapy! Only sleeved 2 months ago..but banded..I never sought therapy. I need it now. Hell. I needed it then, just didn't see it.
Lori RN, MS Band 2/9/07 265lbs Removed 4/13/12@ 185lbs (slip&erosion) Sleeve 11/16/12@ 225lbs If I could get as excited about exercise as I am about a Big Mac...Now in ONEderland!! 197.4

I hate to hear you are going through all of this. It is hard and I completely agree with all everyone said. I went thru a divorce back in 2008 and a move also, I had lost 60 pounds and found 50 of it. (I haven't had my surgery yet) I am getting that mindset in check before the procedure is done. You can do this girl...so many people on here for support! I am loving this site!! You got this!! =)
