How do you get all your protein in?

Having read the above guidelines which I'm going to assume apply to sleeved patients, how the heck are you supposed to get 60g of protein in per day? It seems as though I can't eat enough food to take in that much.
so what do you do? what is your typical meal menu look like? I'm at soft food this week and next week will move to a regular diet.
The dietary restrictions are different for RNY and Sleeve - wee don't have the malabsorptive issues they have. Protein, however, should be as high as possible. 60 is actually kind of low.
You can look at my diet log on MFP. IF you look back before july of last year you can see what I ate before switching to maintenance on a typical 600 calorie day.
What you want to focus on is the eating rules:
1. Eat your protein first
2. Eat only dense, lean proteins (Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast, Turkey, Greek Yogurt, Eggs, etc)
3. Do not drink 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after meals
4. Only eat non-starchy vegetables after your protein if you have room.
5. Undereat your sleeve
For that last one, look up Frisco's excellen posts on that topic. Also, look up frisco's guide to your pyloric valve. That should be required reading and part of the sleeve owners manual. Your pylorus is the key difference between us and the RNY-ers as far as being able to maintain satiation for a good long while.

In the beginning you are drinking your liquid protein but as you turn over to solids you should be getting it through your meat. If you are eating 3 oz (which is hard) you would be getting approximately 20+ grams of protein per meal which would be 60 grams and then you can add cottage cheese or cheese, etc as snacks and pack in some more protein.
At first you will probably not be able to get all of your protein in just through food, you will have to drink some protein drinks.
I can only eat about 2 - 2.5 oz of meat at a meal and then will have a snack of string cheese if I am hungry.
I am 6 months out and still have to use protein shakes to get it all in. I shoot for a minimum of 65g but I try to get in 80 to 100g a day. I don't even try to save room for veggies very often I just eat me lean meats I usually have yogurt for breakfast a protein shake for lunch and whatever my husband decides he want's for dinner always some kind of lean meat and if I have a snack it is usually either yogurt or cubed cheese of some kind. I had a lot of problems figuring out ways to get in enough protein for about the first 4 months so I figured the best way to do it is eat as much lean meat as I could and do protein shakes. But if you don't use seasonings I would start because is not you will get bored with it quick.
I'm supposed to have 100 grams of protein per day. My day so far is below. I won't have any issues reaching this mark. Have you tried 3 meals and 2 snacks a day? My 2 snacks are protien shakes and gets me half way to my goal. I'm at 84g and haven't even had dinner yet.
Breakfast = 5.3oz Greek Yogurt 12g
Snack = 8oz protein shake 26g
Lunch = 1 can tuna 20g
Snack = 8oz protein shake 26g
Early out - protein shakes and supplements. I've been able to get all my protein from food for well over a year now. It's not that hard as long as you establish some high protein staples and always start your meal with that. I'm primarily a carnivore, so it really hasn't been hard at all - and I usually get in around 130g of protein a day.
My doc and nutritionist want me to get 145 grams of protein because of a deficiency. I don't quite make it most days, but I get close.
I have lots of protein shakes, Quest bars and beef/turkey jerky during the day, and I eat a more normal meal with my family in the evening.
Protein shake with a bit of ricotta cheese: 30 grams of protein
3 oz of turkey jerky: 33 grams
Quest bar: 20 grams

Not to get off topic, but with the effort to focus on protein first, are you able to get in any fiber. I'm pre-op and just wondering. I take an iron supplement now and may have to off and on for life, so constipation is an issue. I take 3 Colase every night but since I'm pre-op I can also eat lots of veggies and/or take Metamucil. When I'm pre-op and focusing on filling my sleeve with protein, will there be any way to get some roughage, possibly down the road when I'm 2-3 months out?

I aim for 21 g of fiber a day and make it most days. But I'm pretty far out.

I don't have fiber in there but I could go look it up at some point. I think I was getting about 16 g a day at first.
What I do is have a protein shake every morning. That way I get in about 1/3 of my protein right off the bat and I don't have to force myself to eat great quantities of meat at every meal for the rest of the day. That way I can eat more veggies, which I like. I generally eat them 3x a day -- lunch, afternoon snack and dinner.
Also, the iron supplements most people get OTC pre-WLS are ferrous sulfate and it does constipate you. But it's not well absorbed post-op. Instead you should look into heme iron and carbonyl iron. Heme is like eating liver in a pill and it doesn't constipate you, you can take it at the same time as calcium and you don't need acid to break it down. Carbonyl does need acid so I get mine with Vitamin C built-in but it also is gentle on the stomach. Both are well-absorbed by us freaks.
Btw, calcium is also constipating and we have to take a lot of that.
