Hi, My Name Is...
Hey all. I've asked a few questions on here, but I realized I've never actually introduced myself.
I'm Daisy. I live in Alaska, the rainy part, not the hundred-below-zero part :)
My mom had VSG in '08 and lost over 130 lbs. I'm a lightweight by comparison, but only because I fight everyday. And the struggle is exhausting. That's why I'm looking into VSG as well - I want that "level playing field".
I look at how I eat compared to my thin friends and its so frustrating! I don't have a food addiction. I don't eat past full I live a somewhat active lifestyle. I buy the best foods I can afford for my family (organic & the like). But I'm obese. It is in the genes.
If I hadn't seen my Mom succeed with this tool, I may have thought that because I am genetically programmed to carry more weight and I'm not an emotional eater who can't feel "full", that this surgery wouldn't work for me. I am now convinced by her example and so many of yours, that this is in fact the Only way to end the constant battle. And hopefully a ceasefire is on the horizon.
Hello Daisy! I'm glad you've found OH. I hope we can continue to help you on your journey.
