So, I'm not even really sure where to post anymore, but I always seem to come back to this board, since I feel most comfortable here.

Tomorrow is 11 months since my VSG - and today I hit 100 pounds lost on the scale.  I know a lot of people have lost faster, but there's been some weirdness....

In February, we discovered that I had developed severe reflux, and in April, I had to be revised to RNY as an emergency surgery (I had started aspirating everything I would eat or drink).

So...me and my R-N-sleevectomy have managed to take off 100 pounds in 11 months, even with severe exercise limitations since February (I just FINALLY got released to start again, and I'm excited!)

Anyway - just wanted to celebrate a little.  I've gone from a size 28 to a loose 16 (should probably try 14s, but I think I'll give it a few more pounds), lost half a shoe size, and completely emptied out my closet 3 or 4 times now.

Oh yeah, and since I started my journey in April of 2012 (surgery in July), I've gone from not being able to walk across a room without oxygen to being able to walk 5Ks, and live a fairly active life - despite my restrictions.

Yay for WLS...and yay for living life!!!

Good for you!

And glad to hear that you "walk" your 5k..I'm about to do my first one and my perfectionist self is having a hard time because I"m sure I'll be walking most of it (vs. jogging, which I was hoping to be doing). Nonetheless, just matters that I signed up, showed up, and did it, right?

Anyhow, congrats again. Glad to hear to tackled that reflux problem and are continuing to motor on!

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.
