To be a little more positive--amusing NSV.

I've noticed this for a while, but haven't posted it.

One of the best NSVs has to be that going in and out of stalls in public restrooms is easier.  Sometimes they space is a bit tight, and pre-op I'd have to practically stand on the toilet to get the door closed/open when I was in there (not literally, but some of you must know what I'm saying).  Now I just go in and out with no issue.

Also, this morning I noticed I can see some of the seat in my car on either side of my legs.  What?  I've also moved the seat up a couple of times just because I can and it feels weird to have so much space between me and my steering wheel.

Finally, today on my hike (I hike!!!), my skinny friend told me that when I posted on MFP about no longer being obese, all she could think was that I'd passed that milestone long ago, and another friend called me a skinny *****  I love my skinny friends.  They have been nothing but supportive of this adventure I'm on.

It's so funny that you post about the bathroom stuff....I'm not as far along as you but I've already noticed how I'm so much more comfortable in public restrooms too.   I almost always chose an accessible stall to give me more room.  I still gravitate towards that type of stall but I don't need it as much and it's awesome!!  This is one NSV that is hard to explain to anyone else.  Thanks for posting.

hey I hear ya on the bathroom stuff. It seemed I was always running into the tp holders and i would end up with bruises and such. how stupid is that. and yeah those doors open inwards so you have to flatten yourself against the wall to get out!  and if you were at an airport and carrying junk, forget it.  so glad those days are over.   diane

Wonderful NSVs! I look forward to the day when those damn public bathroom stalls quit causing me anxiety.

Love it!! These "little" victories are HUGE now - for me, it was scooting in to a booth, without rubbing my belly. What a wonderful feeling!
