Do you consume anything in particular before an intense workout?

I do this now but just started - I wouldn't suggest this until you are close to done loosing and looking to add weight (muscle weight)

Lean Protein 30-60 mins prior and lots of water seemed to work well for me!

100 LBS gone in 3 Months! - 150 LBS gone in just over 5 Months!

200 LBS gone in just under 9 Months!

A little more than 30 to go but I am actualy trying to trade fat for muscle right now so my expectation is that my weight loss will slow significantly but I will be wanting to see my body composition measurements showing muscle gains and fat loss. Building muscle with low body fat gets much harder. Sort of an experiment for a couple weeks. I just noticed a huge drop in fat in my pubic region and my gut directly above this week so it feels like the approach is working. I am taking it for the beta alanine. The creatine is what I'm a bit worried about because it causes muscle bloat with water and we know that is heavy so I usually run in the evening of my heavy lifting days to sweat it out and then start loading again right after. Less retention this way. Or at least that's my theory.

No, but I do eat/drink protein in the 20 minutes following an intense workout.

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

If it's time to eat I do:). Usually, after I work out it's lunch time or dinner time so I will eat then.

I do a supplement of Amino Acids before a workout and L Glutomine and a protein shake afterwards. I haven't done creatine yet but probably will need to do it soon since I want to bulk up my muscles. I'm looking to eventually do some body building competitions.
