3 months post surgery and doing great
Thank you. You'll do great. The sleeve really makes it possible. I look forward to hearing your success stories in the near future!

Carol, I'm so happy for you! How terrific it is that your commitment took root that day of your initial evaluation. It truly is such a blessing to have that sensation of being released from the grip of using food in the wrong way. May it last a long time! Keep up the great work!
I also appreciate very much that you put forth the important message of this journey, i.e. that the sleeve doesn't just magically melt our excess weight away, but rather that we need to do our part and make good choices for the rest of our lives. Fair trade, eh?? :)
Thank you, Nancy, for your kind words. Yes, it really is a commitment, but I couldn't do it without the changes the sleeve made in my body. I don't know why it works, but it does shift things so we have a fighting chance. What a journey!
best wishes,
Carol

Same here. The sleeve does give us a fighting chance, but as you know we need to be the ones doing the punching. :)
Portion control, food choices are limited, and much less hunger hormone production is my understanding of the situation. All of that can be temporary or long-term; I've seen examples of both posted here.
