I've taken the first step!
Yesterday i had my first consultation appt. Everything went well. Dr. Curry tells me I'm a great candidate for the sleeve. I was so excited I went to walmart and bought me a cute cup to celebrate as I know I will need to drink lots of water. He says I should be able to have the sleeve done before the first of the year! yippee!
Congratulations! That first step is a BIG one. Now, it's baby steps the rest of the way...but if you keep moving forward, you will reach your goals...Good luck to you on your journey.

You must permanently change your lifestyle if you want your weight loss to be permanent. You can do it!
Way to go. The first step is the biggest. I am also pre surgery but I am holding off until Spring to have my surgery.
Wishing you the best of luck!
I am so happy for you. I started the process on Jan 14, and had the sleeve on May 1. I am down 120 pounds, and I feel great. I just love my sleeve. Its a new lease of life for me.
Best of Luck on your weight-loss journey. It isn't easy but the rewards are so worth it.

You and I are at about the same stage. I just had my initial consult on Tuesday.
Congratulations and good luck!! :)
Congrats! It took a lot of courage for me to do that first step. I had great friends to encourage me and to listen to all of my complaining about how long it was taking. However, my first visit was 2/26 and here I am getting ready for surgery on the 12th of sept. The worst part was waiting for the approval once the visits was done. But I made it and you can too. Best Wishes and keep us informed.
