Justification....... ? After Halloween........
Justification........
After Halloween Humor........ or is it reality for some of us ??????
After Halloween can be harder than Halloween........ Are you eating the leftover candy? Are you raiding the kids candy stash ??? Did you buy 50% off after Halloween candy?????
Just some random thoughts..... carry on....

Great post! Luckily I don't have kids at my house. My sister who is tall and slim is eating our leftovers, God love her! We have them in another room so I don't even think about them. I did have 3 peanut m&m's 3 different days (snack pack) over a 2 week period and I'm done. (I rolled up the edge of the bag and put it in a drawer so I didn't see them every time I opened the pantry.) I thought, wait a minute, I want to make the most of this first 6 mo. - 1 year! But I knew if I didn't have a very controlled portion I might really start thinking about them non-stop and have an urge to go wild. Not sure if it was the best idea but I don't have the urge and I'm satisfied.
Last Halloween I was preop and didn't eat a single bit of Halloween treats. This year so far it's the same. Not only do I dread eating that stuff and reviving old triggers, but I also dread having to log that mess on MFP.
It occurs to me that that candy belongs to the kids and that I would basically be robbing them of it if I were to eat it. Not nice.

Okay - I fit the justification mode. I did not eat one piece of candy - a huge milestone for me.
BUT last week - I was too creative in the kitchen to get me through the week - I made Shelley's Pumpkin Souffles, made a casserole with chicken, cheese & green chilies (Halloween night I used to always make an enchilada casserole), made a Splenda Pumpkin Pie, - all not bad on their own but not good for active weight loss.
Ok - I didn't eat it all in one day but too many carbs for this gal for the week - I'm up on the scale a pound. UGH! Guess I gotta stick to basics to lose weight! But really good!!
So I avoided eating my kids candy only to come to work and see that the other ladies brought their kids candy to share with everyone and have it displayed right at the front in a big bowl. Thankfully, I filled up my coffee and added my protein powder and that seems to be killing the chocolate craving. :)
