Traveling Question!
I have to go on a business trip on Monday to CA. Do you think security will stop me with my SF jello in my backpack? I'm going to pack my blender and check my bag, but I wanted to have a couple of SF jello packs on the plane because the flight is so long.

If the servings are less than 3 oz. and find into your "liquids" bag (that can't exceed the 1 quart size), you may just make it through. I travel regularly and find some airports are more flexible than others. As long as the servings are in the original packaging, not open, and less than 3 oz, I'd give it a shot. Good luck!
You might not get the jello through, but you could make frozen protein Popsicles and get them through. Last time I flew, I was about to discard my bag of ice that was keeping my cheese cold and was told by the TSA people that as long as it was frozen, it could go through. Good luck. Otherwise you may be limited to protein powder and very expensive bottles of water.
Call and ask! You may need a statement from your surgeon.
Travelers may call TSA Cares toll free at 1-855-787-2227 prior to traveling with questions about screening policies, procedures and what to expect at the security checkpoint. TSA Cares will serve as an additional, dedicated resource specifically for passengers with disabilities, medical conditions or other cir****tances or their loved ones who want to prepare for the screening process prior to flying.
I measured out my protein in snack bags, I took the fruit flavored Nectar. I took my shaker bottle with the whisk ball in it. I just added water from a drinking fountain after security. They gave me water on the plane for my next one. I did pack extra in my carry-on in case the check bag was lost.
