anyone regret having vsg?
The only regret is that I did not do this sooner. I am 70 lbs lighter and feel so much better. I am on a quarter dose of my blood pressure medication ; no more cholesterol meds. Eventually most of us can eat anything. Most of the time prefer the way I have been eating these last 9 months. I do look at food more as fuel and really weigh my choices. I can shop in a regular store for clothes and sit on the floor to play with my grandson. Believe me I need all of this energy to keep up with a toddler!
Good luck-
Nancy
Like everyone else, 1-3 weeks out I though OMG what did I do, but it goes away as you start healing and losing the weight. That's totally normal after surgery. I am 3-months out and very happy and healthy. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy but being so overweight is so much harder. Pre surgery jitters are completely normal. I backed out twice and then had the sleeve, and the surgery and recovery was nothing. I never took as much as one pain pill when I left the hospital, only Tylenol. I did not have gas pains either. I think the regrets after are mostly mental, but like I said, that goes away. Good luck on your surgery; see you on the losers bench.
