I don't know, I saw you in your sparkly jeans...you are beautiful in an artistic, relaxed and comfortable way...plenty of women would be jealous of that. :)

All too often, I've witnessed a double standard here on OH. Speaking in general terms, it's perceived as unfair to negatively judge those who choose a 'high' (say 28-35 BMI) goal weight (and nor should we judge it), but all too often there's a whole lotta judgment openly expressed to those who choose a 'low' (say 18.5-20 BMI) goal weight. Words like gaunt, sickly, not feminine, etc.

Just sayin'

Being nearly 5'7", when I hit 133ish, I was waaay too thin. Skeletor chest, gaunt face.. it didn't look good ON ME, and that's the difference. I had friends telling me it was time to stop.. and they were right (that time :) )

I look best in the mid-mid/high 140's, comfy size 8 jeans, sometimes 6's if they are a bit vanity sized. My face looks best in the high 150's/low 160 (ass or face dilemma).. but the rest of me, nope! I have to say, even when I was weight lifting, being that low DID look and feel creepy on me, even with muscle.. but someone else, it may look perfectly healthy. Being formerly MO,  excess skin does hang differently, and as my wonderful hubby points out, I do carry about 10lbs extra skin if all were to go.

The comment of "wait till she has kids" yeah, that strikes as a bit of catty BS.. but sometimes an outside pair of eyes has a more honest view than our (sometimes) skewed perception of our reality. Just another POV. Either way, calling anyone out to their face or not on their body is completely a no-no unless you are a very, very close friend or partner, AND you note that it's having health repercussions, mental or physical.

That's a very good question.....I was unsure myself.

Please give me a better word and I'll change it for you.
