Homemade strawberry frozen yogurt in 3 minutes, protein, ff, and sugar free
I have been having some serious ice cream issues lately- this happens every year about this time. This time, I decided to try to make up something healthier in my vintage Vitamix blender and it was perfect! 1 cup fage fat free yogurt (plain), 3 cups frozen strawberries, 1-2 teaspoons vanilla, splenda to taste (1/4 cup about is what I used). Use the tamper. It came out like soft serve and had a wonderful flavor. I have to admit I needed to resist the urge to throw in some protein powder, but I bet it would work. Honestly, much better than buying frozen yogurt from the store- and better than ice cream from the store :)
If you have a good strong blender give it a try :) You can watch a video on how to make ice cream here. Different recipe, but you will get the idea of what to do.

I have one of those :) I am allergic to banana though. I do like just straight up strawberry in it, but find cleaning it to be a pain in the butt. The vitamix allows for the addition of the greek yogurt though, which adds a lot for the creaminess factor. But if one doesn't have a Vitamix, the yonana is a low cost option for healthy ice cream.

I make ice cream in my food processor. Take 1/2 frozen banana (cut into pieces) and blend until it looks like sand. Add in 1/2 - 1 scoop of banana creme protein, or choc or vanilla ... Whatever flavor you have. Blend until it's a creamy, ice cream texture. Enjoy! I ate this a lot on the puréed stage.
For my daughter, instead of the protein, I add in peanut butter :)
Ok, now I totally have to make chocolate peanut butter ice cream. :)
