Another 1 hr Orange Theory Class. Fell a little short on Calories today only 595 (I like to be over 600 and yes it is just a few short but still did not make my goal). Feeling a little worn out today. I ate a huge breakfast (well huge for us VSG patients anyway).

I worked out today! DID YOU?

Let's Hear It!

I'm still in quite a bit of pain in my right leg, so I'm going to skip my regularly schedule pilates for rest and ice instead.  I think this is the wise choice - I don't want to damage myself right as I'm getting into training for my first 5k.  :(

Doing an hour of agility training with my youngest golden retriever tonight. Really looking forward to getting back to this sport, as this will be the first training session since the night before surgery. My pup will be so happy :)

That's awesome - that a cutie!  I started my rescue mutt in agility a couple of weeks ago, and he loves it!  There are two beautiful goldies in his class as well.  I was surprised at how great a work out it was for me, too.  I was sweating bullets and sucking air by the end of it.  Enjoy:)

Thanks! She's a love, that's for sure.

And yup, there's a LOT of sprinting to be done in agility, and I really enjoy the workout, too. I really want to get into good enough shape that I can actually push Hero's speed higher, so I've got a ways to go. Good luck with your pup--they totally love the working together part of agility, don't they?

Well that answered my question from my other post.   WLS has changed my agility so much.  I now know I can finish the course and not need oxygen or have to stop because I can not run any more.

Have fun with it.  It only gets better from here.

I used to compete with my springer spaniel several years ago, but she developed an enzyme deficiency, and by the time I got my youngest golden in training, I was really too heavy to handle her fast enough for competition. She's smart and eager to please, but not naturally fast, and I haven't been fast enough to encourage her in the right way. I'd love for that to change, although my "youngest" is going to be 8 in October, and that already puts her in the Veterans class, LOL! It may be time for a puppy, but the three dogs I have are already one too many.

It will change. I still can not believe how well I can run courses!

My sheltie is now the slow one.  He was perfect for where I was in life.  Fat and slow.  Now I am ready for a fast and driven dog.

Recovering this morning from my 28.82 mile bike ride last night.

I have strength training with PT tonight.  Not sure what muscles are left to work that are not tired or sore!  :)

it will be a "suck it up" kinda work out tonight.

Starting W: 320  Surgery W (9/12/13): 279.8.
