4 months today! Picture included!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. The last few months have been rough, but things are calming down now, thankfully. I can't believe it's been 4 months since surgery! I am feeling great... I am working at a preschool this summer (I worked there last summer too) and I have tons of energy! Last summer I was always tired at work and never was able to run after the kids and play... but this summer I love to play games with them and dance. I also got a compliment today from a parent who kind of knows me (mostly because of my hubby who teaches there, but she also met me last summer,) and she said she noticed I lost weight and said I looked great! I think thats one of the first compliments that I've gotten from someone who a) doesnt know me that well, and b) doesn't know about the surgery. Anyway, things are going well, I almost always get in all my protein, usually because I still have at least 1 shake a day, but I still struggle with fluid. Sometimes I just forget to drink, lol. And also, though I am at the point where I CAN drink plain water, I dont really like it unless I am REALLY thirsty, and I still prefer it with crystal light in it. So if I forget to bring my crystal light packets to work, I just don't want to drink water. We have a fridge for the staff, so I am just thinking of saving a 2 liter bottle from something and just making crystal light in it so I can keep it in the fridge. If I have my c.l, I have no problem downing a bottle of water.
Also, here's another NSV, in a way. My hunny and I recently adopted a new dog. He is a 1.5 year old shepherd mix. Here is the NSV part though. The people at the shelter said he was pretty high energy (we could tell, lol.) Before surgery, I would have never considered adopting a high energy dog, I just would have thought that I couldn't do it. My other dog is very low maintaince, and while she likes to walk, she is just as content to hang out at home all day. But now that I have more energy, I am not as worried about it. I am actually kind of hoping he motivates me to get out more. I just wish my hubby and I didn't work such long hours because that means a long time in his kennel. He is really good though and hasn't had an accident or anything. (not that I would be mad if he did, he is still a puppy)
Anyway that's about it. Here is a pic hubby took tonight. Goodnight everyone!

and look at you rocking that horizontal stripe!!! After I had lost 80 pounds I had so much energy! My sisters, who were always petite, couldn't believe how I had more enery than they did.
About your shepard mix, shepards are a wonderful breed. I never owned one until now and she is so amazing! But, I cannot walk her and can barely play with her. She isn't really mine but might as well be. She belongs to my son but he works a lot and he does the walking. Anyway, if she hasn't done so already, wait until the day she decides that you BELONG to her! It is amazing to watch that. German shepards OWN everything they love. Regardless of what she is mixed with, if shepard is the dominant breed, she will own you. But keep her socialized with other animals and people! Otherwise she will not be the dog she is supposed to be, or he.
good luck with everything, your life is going great and that's great!!
