OK, I know you guys are probably tired of me asking about vitamins, but I found a multivitamin/mineral liquid that I think I can put in my protein shakes if it has sufficient stats. Here is the link: http://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-10266-century-systems-miracle- 2000-total-body-nutrition-32-oz#tabs

Can you tell me if this has the majority of vitamins/minerals needed?

I also just ordered some Syntrax Matrix Perfect Chocolate and Simply Vanilla. I am so excited! It is getting down to the wire for me and I can't wait! Thanks guys

it looks to be lacking in calcium, iron, and vitamin D (400IU is usually not enough for overweight people - we tend to lean towards VitD deficiency)

What does Your NUT think about it?

There are 28 vitamins and minerals and we're supposed to get a multi with most of them.  This has zero of 7 - but two of those 7 are sodium and fluoride which don't really count since we get them elsewhere in our diet.  The others that it's lacking are molybdenum, phosphorus, thiamin, and vitamin k.  I know vitamin k is easy enough to supplement, I don't know about the rest.

As for the other 21 vitamins and minerals, it has 100% of another 15.  I would probably feel fine taking this if I had to take a liquid vitamin (which we don't), but I'd definitely be keeping an eye on things with blood work before too much time had passed.

I wouldn't personally worry about the low calcium and iron because a) they shouldn't be in a supplement together anyway and b) you should probably be supplementing them separately - at least according to the ASMBS.  The B-12 might be low too, but, again, that's an easy one to supplement separately and ditto for the vitamin D.

What does your medical team say about this as an option?  Would it just be a short term thing?  What is the reason you're looking for a liquid vitamin instead of chewables or pills?

(I'm not a medical professional.  I just like to play with numbers and research.)

it doesn't say what kind of calcium is in it either, needs to be citrate.

also,I wouldn't depend on putting any medication in a protein drink immediately post op. Some ppl have a difficult time getting their shakes down early on. If you can get the whole shake down ,you also won't get all your meds, just saying.gl
