This gives me hope. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 weeks post-op. I began chemo 6 weeks post-op. During chemo (2 rounds) I threw up all the time and my sleeve has stretched, per upper GI study.  My surgeon describes it as an orange on top of a banana. The way the food empties my stomach leaves feel sick all the time. Surgeon says I'm at risk of an ulcer.

It sounds like you have good, medical reasons for needing the revision. Don't even be discouraged if you get denied at first. The docs know how to write those appeal letters. Good luck.

I would pretty much count on first line representatives not being able to inform you, as well as it being denied the first time.  Your surgeon will appeal with documentation, and even if they deny then s/he can then speak with a doctor at the insurance company and appeal in a direct conversation.  I've been through this with a different surgery a few times and while frustrating, they did go through.  Good luck, and best wishes for great health.
