Hi GoBlueGirl, you from Michigan? The last of my pre-op surgeon visits is on Wednesday. I started my program back on 12/9/13 and on that date, I stopped eating all "added" carbs. I only get carbs from vegetables, fruits, meat and dairy. I no longer eat bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. I recently started eating 1 low-carb high-fiber tortilla occasionally. This has worked wonderfully for me. I have been at a stall, kicking around the same 2 pounds for a week or so, but I haven't been journaling my food like I should.

Carbs are to me what Kryptonite is to Superman LOL. When I eat them, I go wild eating them and can't stop, so I just leave them alone as best I can.

Good luck on your weight loss journey.

My suggestion would be to start an exercise program now, even if it is to walk an hour a day.  You will figure out when you will be able to work it into your schedule, before surgery and the best time before work, at lunch or after work.  You have to make it part of your plan and the sooner you get started the easier you will recover from surgery and make it a daily event.  It has to be a part of your lifestyle change.  The weight will melt off after surgery and you have to get over the exercise hurdle! ~Cheers
