Pre-op Stomach issues

did a little bit of searching and couldn't find much in the way of an answer. Here's my question : I am pre op, but not on the liquid diet part yet. There are days where I can eat one meal and be full all day and the thought or smell of food makes me nauseous. Other days, I am so hungry and feel the need to eat all day (or at least 3 good solid meals.) I am wondering why this is. Twice this week I have been feeling overly full and nauseated. Right now, my husband is grilling chicken which I should eat, but I still feel full from lunch over 10 hrs ago. I feel that if I eat, I will vomit. I'm very nauseous.

Could this be a sign of a "slow system"or of some kind of IBS? My surgeon had suggested that I might have a "touch of IBS."

Thanks for any advice!

I don't have any advice for you because I'm the same way. I'm curious to know if anyone else has any ideas or advice.

No ideas, but I did feel that way. I chalked it up to pre-surgery jitters.

When I decided that surgery was the right choice for me, I often felt like this, a first for me! I attributed it to being more aware of my emotions around food and an awareness of what I was eating. I think it is my body/subconscious preparing me for the journey ahead!
