Where I am in the Surgery Process
I am about 6.5 months out. Honestly I am disappointed in myself due to my poor eating habits. For the past month or so I have stalled myself by eating junk foods and not sticking to plan. I have been so ashamed of my eating habits that this is the first time that I have expressed these feelings. I feel like I’m depressed because of this. From 2wks post op until now I have received glowing compliments from just about everyone I see. I have become too relaxed and set myself in maintenance mode instead of losing. I have numerous people tell me I look great and to stop losing. For personal reason I still have 30-40lbs to go. I know I can do it, I just need to stop being lazy! I have always been the “slow” loser and get disappointed when I see others who have higher weight loss stats than me. But at the same time I know I have done this to myself. I really want to see a psychiatrist or therapist for help but my insurance won’t cover this until after the new year. I don’t regret anything and I would do this surgery over in a heartbeat.
On the upside: I have logged my foods into MFP for the past 6 days and managed to stay under 700 calories. I am also using the pie chart that my NUT recommended to stay within my percentage range she gave me.
Best thing about weight loss
Fitting into an airplane seat, smaller clothes, fit properly in a car, cross my legs, being healthier.
Worst thing about weight loss
Does nausea/vomiting count? I had horrible stomach spasms at first that got better after a while. I never had reflux before, but I sure have it now!
Favorite Type of Exercise
I still have yet to truly exercise. I’m really working on this. I feel like the sleeve has done its job and now it’s time for me to do my part.
Current Goal
170-180lbs, hopefully a size 8 or 10.
