Those who work, how long did you take off, I'm hoping to go back in 2 1/2 weeks. I know it depends in what you do also!

I was 51 years old when I had the surgery done.  Went in on Friday, home on Sunday, driving myself on Tuesday, back to work the following Monday.  I did shorter days that Monday and Tuesday and was back to full days on Wednesday.  I didn't feel like I needed any extra time.

I was 59 yrs old when I had my surgery.  I had decided to close my business down for 2 weeks and let my clients know it might be a few more weeks before I was back up to speed.

I was home for three days and bored to tears so I went back to work at 7 days out.  I have felt great ever since and was just careful not to lift for a few weeks.

I never needed pain medication so I was back driving 2 days after surgery.

Thanks everyone! I'm a visiting nurse, I don't do any lifting, so I'm hoping I'll be back in 2 1/2- 3 weeks! Very reassuring and encouraging to hear your stories!
