At 10 days out I was consuming 300-400 calories. I didn't eat 700 calories regularly until 4-5 months out.

NP! Sometimes nutritionists push people to have more, but most of us did fine on those low calories in the beginning and we gave our new tummies time to heal.

If you only have 80lb to lose, you are not going to lose weight nearly as fast as someone who started at a higher weight.

What are you eating this early on to get in 700 calories?

I live on Premier Protien shakes, cottage cheese, Avocado mash, lemon slices, Greek yogurt and progresso soups (light, non-creamed based.)

thaks,

Skip the avocado for sure. You need to be eating foods that are 10g protein or more per 100 calories, and avocado is basically unnecessary calories at this point.

Similarly, ditch the soups unless you're adding protein powder. Even if they're "light" they may have too many carbs in them, especially if they contain rice or noodles. Those should pretty much be off limits until you reach goal.

No, you aren't eating too little, and there is no universal target, though you shouldn't go over whatever caloric guidelines that your program has; if they don't have any, then the common 6-800 calorie level is usually a good place to be for losing, particularly for an average height woman.

People and programs vary widely, particularly during this early transitional period after surgery - some people will have a lot of inflammation and struggle to get much in, and others won't which is why we often see some with low numbers for quite a while - this is not a worry as long as one concentrates on hydration and protein.

I had very little problem with recovery, and by day 10 I was in the 900-1000 calorie range (that's OK, too - it's a guy thing!) and as protein was doing well, the doc was adding veg to my diet. It's all a big YMMV thing.

Weightloss can also be quite variable early on, as most of it is water weight to begin with; most see a fairly big loss initially and then stall for a bit after a couple weeks, but those who lost a lot on a pre-op diet have already had their big initial loss so usually won't see the impressive numbers that those who didn't have a pre-op diet typically show.
