i've been pulled out of my lurker status - heres the intro!
hi all! i'm christie, 28, mother to 3 little girls all under 4, married for almost 5 years and had my RNY in august of 2002. i'm definetly NOT the poster child for WLS since i gained back 75% of my weight out of pure stupidity. however! i'm back on OH and following all pouch rules and exersizing my happy booty off and the weight has been coming off again! i've done this for almost 4 weeks now and have re-lost 25 pounds!! i have 100 more to go to get to the weight i was before my 1st came along.
i live in the burbs of chicago. and before i had kids, was training for the chicago marathon! i had my RNY at 330 and lost down to 165 and felt great! was a size 10, some 8s and i really want to get back to that size & physical condition!
i have really fallen in love with this board because you guys can relate more than older people. alot of our issues are all similiar! so, here it is! my official introduction! *whew* its hard to step out of the shadows sometimes!! =) everyone have a great day!!
Christie
RNY 8/2002. lost 180#s. 3 babies and 6 yrs later, relearning and losing again!
SW = 295 CW = 225 GW = 170
I'm glad you stepped out of the shadows and it definetly looks like you are commited to the right track, it takes a lot to admit everything that you did. And no judgement here glad you are doing this to get healthy again. You have the tool and you are using it again :) thats great!

Welcome to the team! I started playing by all the rules again after a scale bump last week and so far in three days I'm down 5 lbs! I think for me it so easy to eat past the point that my pouch starts telling me it's full. I feel the pressure and often ignore it and essentially "push" the extra food through....I've been chewing a little more just to slow things down and forcing myself to quit as soon as I start feeling that pressure. If I'm not done, I just throw the food away or toss it to my dogs because I know it will be hard to resisit going back to it - I am definitely a sufferer of "clean plate syndrome" but I realize that, so that is one of the things I do to fight it. That, and I have been ordering / putting less on my plate at each meal.
Hi Christie... It's good to see you on the board... I know that regain can happen... I live in fear of it constantly (especially with this being my 2nd pregnancy), but I admire you so much because you are back on track and doing things right. You have lost 25 lbs already! That is so awesome, girl! I commend you and I am here to cheer you on (and take notes on how you're doing it) every step of the way! You just might be my new hero, girl!
