How shi**y is it to have to do six months before even appling for approval for the surgery, it seems so far away...I need support to make it through the next 6 months of my life. I go to the nutritionst/dietitian at hte center on Monday of next week but couldn'y get in to my dr's office for like weeks, nov. 11, I am not excited to ahve to wait so long. I am using ww online currently but a little hesitant that it isn't going to be what the nutritionist needs...

I had to do the same.  It is well worth it.  Instead of WW I saw the bariatric nutritionist at the hospital and that was cool because I got a head start on learning how to eat post op.  It seems like a long way off but believe me, its worth it in the long run.  I feel so prepared for my upcoming surgery and I can't say I would be that confident had I not gone through the 6 mo process.  We're here to support you.

just find out from your ins. if they will accept the ww at all. My ins requires 6 months of medically supervised dieting but not by anything associated with bariatrics.  So I can see my own doctor or a weightloss dr that does not assocoate with bariatric surgery.

I need to have 6 months completed also but I also needed a nutrtional eval and psych eval for my ins.  I have 2 more months to go on my diet and am going crazy waiting.

I had to do exactly the same thing.  For me, the worst part has been finally getting the papers submitted to insurance.  The diet honestly actually goes pretty fast :)  I know it seems far, that is exactly how I felt at the time.  You will get through it and you will do great!
