Surgery is done!

 Hey everyone!

Surgery is over and with only a few minor glitches.  My surgeon said everything went great and that I did a great job preparing for surgery and losing some weight.  The only problem was that the morphine they gave me throughout the first night made me so sick that I was horribly nauseated and couldn't walk or do much of anything.  Thankfully they got rid of the drip yesterday afternoon and I've been feeling 100 times better.   I'm still in the hospital and should be let out today.  I'm not quite where I should be at in the progressive diet just because I haven't been able to get rid of the Co2 gas in my stomach so I can barley get down a 30cc cup in 2 hours.  But my goal is to get up to 2 by this afternoon and hopfully go home.  

Just wanted to check in and let you guys know that all went well and will hopefully get better from here on out.  Thanks for the well wishes and prayers!

man, what a bummer about the morphine. that stuff was my best friend in the first few hours. thanks for the update, welcome to the losers bench

 Thanks for notes of support!  I'm finally back home..kind of.  I'm staying with my parents until my first follow up on the 22nd but it's for the best since I can't possibly take care of my son by myself yet.  Things are slowly getting back to normal, so I'm hoping every day will get better!  I'll keep everyone updated on my progress and maybe even post some  pictures eventually!
