119.2

We had a good day with Moby and Justice yesterday though Justice keeps reinforcing that it is his house. When Moby sniffed at the stuffed dog toys, Justice grabbed them and stalked off. But generally they are getting along fine, taking walks together and eating side by side. Moby has established his sleep place on the bed in the office so I put a fuzzy blanket on it for him. He can look out the window from that bed too. This afternoon we will need to finalize how to send him north. It sounds like they want us to make the decision but I still need to know their preference. Assuming they want something reasonably priced and not in the cargo hold of a plane, I have a couple of decent priced options which would get Moby to them by the weekend. I found a pet transport site where you can solicit bids from pet transport services and also read reviews about them. There are a couple who have been doing it for a few years and have many highly rated reviews to choose from.

Other than that, I have water aerobics and DH has golf today. Deconstructed pizza for dinner tonight I think.

Have a singular Cinco de Mayo!

123.9. Another new low. I'm not concerned yet, I bet it will go up again tomorrow. Yesterday was a low calorie day (just over 1000) and I burned over 400 calories with a 70 minute 4.5 mile walk with a friend!

Not sure if I will do the treadmill or exercise video today but leaning toward a video.

Still need to continue getting photos matted for upcoming art fair. I also need to do the whole set up in our garage to make sure I have everything. Last full show was last summer.

Today is supposed to be sunny and 66. Ill take it! I have to clear my herb beds and get ready to replant soon. I love fresh herbs for cooking and for putting in my mojitos!

No plans for Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo although it seems it is the one food I don't get sick of. DH will be golfing tonight so it will just be DC1 and I for dinner. Should we grill out or go to my favorite coffee shop that also has great food? I'm leaning toward the coffee shop!

Liz, glad Justice is getting along with your new guest. Hope you can find affordable transport for him!

Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

The Mexican food we had the other day after you got me tempted is calling to me again. It was so good! But I don't think we will go out tonight.

Moby's trip home is booked. Not cheap but the owners and I think it is the best way. Pickup and dropoff door to door and transport via car in between. We picked a mother/daughter team who have been doing this for a few years and have many 5 star reviews. Moby's extended vacation ends on Thursday evening. His parents will be glad to have him back. They said the house felt very empty without him.

I'm so glad you could book the transport! Sounds like a perfect arrangement!

BTW, the trick to Moby's weigh in... Put the carrier on the scale, but don't let go of the handles. Lift up ever so slightly to reduce scale weight of the dog. We dog people know all the tricks!

So smart! Not sure they could finagle it though.

Today spring is going to jump into summer. We are supposed to get up to almost 90 degrees today!!!!!

202.6 ... a new low for me. Now to keep it from going up over the school week. Easier said than done. It's Teacher Appreciation Week in our district so the food and treats will be plenty! Always hard to resist the goodies! I need to keep my goal of being under 200 by June 8 in the forefront of my thinking! It would be nice to be a few pounds under 200 before leaving for Europe.

I bought some new pants for dog shows. I LOVE them. I have always steered clear of synthetic fabrics because they don't breathe like cotton (wool or bamboo fibers), but these are the bomb! They are not exactly dress pants, but look fine with a sport coat. They are super slim fit, have a regular height waist (which lessons exposure of loose skin/love handles), and keep their shape throughout the day. They are also not skin tight like some slim fit pants. I do need to hem them, but they are still okay to wear "off the rack". They are made by Fabletics called the Don pants. Worth looking into for your guys, ladies.

25 more days until I retire.... ****'s getting REAL! I need to get my paperwork in to the pension people this week. YIKES!!!!

My eye is adjusting well from surgery. Still have flashes and jiggly eye every so often, but I remember that went away after a few weeks. Lucky me - NO DROPS! I am wearing the guard at night, but that's about it.

Not much else...

Mexican sure does sound good for tonight's dinner!

Thanks for the pants recommendation- I do think a lot of modern fabrics are really nice these days.

A friend of mine is looking to rehome a dog, and she comes with a prepaid trainer they hired. She is struggling living with the other dogs in the house and the trainer thinks she would be happier in a one pet home. I had to tell myself you can't get a dog, you can't get a dog... Its a goldendoodle, so not a dog that can travel with us, let alone to Brazil. But anyhow... Liz, I'm happy you found a safe way to get your guest back to their family. You are an absolute Godsend to them. I liked Peps scale trick, except I would probably pull up on the carrier too much and they'd be ma'am, this dog does not weigh 2 pounds! I've heard of a similar trick for baggage. With your foot off the scale, slide your toe under the bag, and lift a tiny bit.

All the Mexican food sounds good, but we're going with sliders tonight. If the hamburger is presented to me on a Hawaiian role, and is a bit smaller than a regular burger, I can deal with it. All things considered, I'd join Paula at her coffee shop!

The Mousetrap was very enjoyable last night. Somehow I've never seen it in a movie, or play etc so the ending was a surprise for me.

It was 80 degrees yesterday, and it is 77 today. I'm so happy.

Peps, I just took more paperwork to the Notary for signatures. I think that's the last of it, and my pension application is complete.

Not just spring there but early summer!

DH and I shared a burger last night - he had 2/3rds and I had 1/3 and was stuffed. 3-4 fries with it. I have found that I can eat just a few fries or onion rings and be happy these days.

How many days left for you? The warm weather states like California and Florida get out of school so much earlier than the northeast which is done in late June.
