Today's only outing was to Home Depot to return a hose that had a recall. With no receipt and having used Apple Pay (the number changes randomly making it impossible to tell them the card number used) I got store credit. Given the challenges of home ownership, I will no doubt use it easily. Being a beautiful day, I took the convertible, but still enjoyed the heated air scarf - the car can blow hot air at the back of your neck. Loved it!

Ugh, I forgot it was Saturday and the tourist crowds were NUTS on the roads to my house. Hundreds of cars everywhere!

Tomorrow I'm having lunch with the crazy neighbor. The latest is, I had mentioned to her that my other friend and I were wanting to do a Christmas cookie exchange party. Her response was to usurp the idea and make it a Christmas decorating party at her house (so she doesn't have to do her tree herself) and cookie decorating party AND asked "if I'd like to help her"! I really just floated the idea to see if she'd want to come to what we were planning, and she took it and made it hers. And then she graciously - ha - said I was welcome to invite whoever I wanted and Cathy could come to. The cheek! I don't have the energy to say anything about stealing our idea and morphing it to do her decorating work for her, but I'm irked. She really is seriously lacking in friendship social graces, but it's not like she didn't give me a huge lesson in that already. Sigh, we could still do a cookie exchange, but jeez louise.

I went to wash Kirby today and realized I was out of dog shampoo. Kirby was saved by the bell!

Her idea is overblown. Have your cookie exchange anyway. It'll be a lot more fun and relaxed. BTW, where I come from, we'd just call her a *****!
