Definitely needed to buy that gorgeous painting.

I love the painting (I would have to buy it too). I do remember meeting him. So much art there! I think I need to come back.

I did sort of "cheat" last night and made comfort soup for dinner. I made a Japanese ramen with pulled chicken breast, spinach and a poached egg. I added the chicken "jelly" from my rotisserie chicken to the broth along with hot oil and it was delicious! I over ate and sure felt uncomfortable afterwards. But, it was so tasty and warm on a cold rainy night. Ron happily finished my bowl. LOL!

Sadly, the long pants weather has arrived. I'm such a fair weather fellow. But at least I deal with California cold. I do not deal with Minnesota or Wisconsin cold! Two very different beasts!

Disneyland prep begins this weekend. Yay! Sad thing is that rain is forecast for Monday. Oh, well....

Today will be list making day. Too many items on the list to keep in my head!

After all my complaining about the weather here, we had a record breaking warm day: 72 degrees! alas, it will not last, but every day we advance into November without bitter cold, the closer we are to next summer. : )

I am on the east coast and Paula is on the west. She is actually not far from where I used to live about 3 hours from me. At some point this year I would like to get over to that coast to see some people so maybe Paula and I can meet.

First full day in FL.

I opened up a bank account so I can start transferring automatic deposits and withdrawals to a local bank.

Our VRBO is nice except that the refrigerator/freezer died and the food we bought last night now needs to be tossed (thankfully not much) and the frozen meat we brought for the dogs will have to be tossed too. They are supposed to replace the refrigerator this afternoon. I asked for a $100 credit for food spoilage and inconvenience and the owner is refusing. Rude! I thought that was a fair ask.

Spending a good part of the day sitting poolside at the VRBO. Emma dog is curious about the pool but hasn't jumped in yet (thankfully). I doubt either of the dogs can swim. I'll be ordering them life jackets today!

You are way ahead of me - I still use the local bank on Cape Cod. I should probably change to a bank with branches in both states (there are a couple of options), but I hate having to change my bank information (and I kind of like my small bank).

I agree that your suggestion for reimbursement is entirely fair. What is wrong with the owner that they think you need to take that loss???
